Client Requirements & Challenges
A bulk grain handling terminal experienced excessive filter bag wear in their primary baghouse due to heavy coarse husk and grain dust loading during ship loading operations.
Engineering Solution Delivered
ADFC installed a heavy-wall twin cyclone pre-separator network upstream of the main dust collector. The cyclones drop out over 90% of coarse particles prior to baghouse filtration, extending filter bag operational life from 6 months to over 3 years.
Australian Dust & Fume Control was contracted to design, engineer, and install a custom system for this project located in Geelong, VIC.
